The Fountain Play Centre is not a Day Care Centre. It is a subsidized service provided to Mount students who have children, to provide child care services for those children while parents are attending class.
The Play Centre is open to all children of Mount students, however:
* enrolment is limited so the Play Centre does operate on a first come first serve basis
* the age limit for children to enroll is no less than one year of age or no more than 5 years of age
* children can only be supervised at the Play Centre while the parent(s) are in their scheduled classes

The Play Centre is equipped with a nursery, children's bathroom with a change table, many toys, educational games and tools, arts and crafts supplies, movies, music and a fun and safe environment. We plan many parties and events throughout the school year such as our "Kid's Carnival".
The Centre is run by 2 managers and many volunteers. All staff are: trained with CPR Level C and First Aid, have undergone reference checks, and have been checked by the Child Abuse Registry.
The Fountain Play Centre operates at subsidized pricing to offer Mount students this service at only $1.50/hr/child or $2.50/hr/2 children.

Volunteering is an important responsibility with many rewards. Volunteering is a great way to build your resume as well helps many students when applying to other Colleges and Universities.
There are many benefits to volunteering at the Fountain Play Centre and to discuss them further please stop by the Play Centre between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday through Fridays.
